Newtown Grant Resident. Subject: Status of Pool Opening
The Board and property management have been working towards an opening of the Newtown Grant pool as Bucks County moves into Governor Wolf’s Yellow Phase of the plan for reopening the state. Unfortunately, we have been presented with extremely stringent requirements for such a pool opening by the CDC, PA State guidelines and the Bucks County Health Department.
In particular, we must submit for approval a written “Operations and Maintenance Plan” and a “Routine Maintenance Plan” to the Bucks County Department of Health. These plans must incorporate all the requirements and guidelines provided by the organizations mentioned above. Unfortunately, the requirements and guidelines have been changing over the last weeks and we need further clarification to properly prepare Plans that meet the current requirements and guidelines.
Accordingly, we have reached out to our legal counsel, insurance carrier, pool management company and our property management executive staff for further input. We are gathering this information so that we can make a determination as to when, or even if, the pool can be opened this summer.
Therefore, the pool will remain closed and is not available for community use. We will provide you with an update as soon as we receive all relevant information and, if necessary, obtain any required approvals. Thank you for your understanding.
