UPDATED NEWTOWN GRANT POOL OPENING INFORMATION
5-21-2020
Attention All Newtown Grant Residents:
The Newtown Grant Homeowners’ Association and American Pool (who provides our lifeguards and maintains the pool) are subject to Governor Wolf’s plan for relief, reopening, and recovery of Pennsylvania from the result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The plan utilizes a three-phase matrix to determine when counties can begin easing restrictions on social interactions instituted to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Details of this plan can be found at https://www.governor.pa.gov/process-to-reopen-pennsylvania/.
Currently, Bucks County has been determined to be in the RED phase. Accordingly, the Newtown Grant Pool will not be open for community use this Memorial Day weekend. Additionally, the Pool will remain closed to community use while Bucks County is considered in the RED phase.
We have recently learned that the Bucks County Department of Health has issued guidance stating that public bathing facilities may open once Bucks County is resolved to be in the YELLOW phase of reopening, subject to specific opening procedures including, but not limited to, pool deck social distancing and related capacity limitations. Upon the determination of our entering the YELLOW phase the Newtown Grant Pool will open in accordance with the Department of Health’s guidance and opening procedures.
Further information will be provided when we learn of the date Bucks County will enter the YELLOW phase of reopening. Thank you for your understanding.
